Habitactics is an iOS app from Touch Press that introduces students to wild animal and science facts as they solve Match-3–style puzzles. Students travel the world to explore different environments, including the deserts of the Sahara, the rainforests of South America, and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. To solve the puzzles, students must control predators, prey, and even fungi, while learning how different species affect one another and the success of the ecosystem. Students will gain a better understanding of the food chain, the dynamism of animal populations, and ways other changes to the environment affect animal populations. Costs:Free, with optional in-app purchases
