Through its YoungArts Competition, the National YoungArts Foundation awards grants of up to $10,000, as well as an invitation to take part in master classes and courses with world-renowned artists and professionals. Winners of the competition also become US Presidential Scholars in the Arts and receive a lifetime of professional support. The competition is open to students in the United States, aged 15–18 (or in grades 10–12). International students who are studying in the US on a student visa are also eligible to apply. Application to YoungArts requires an online submission and audition tape or portfolio. Submissions can be entered into the visual, literary, design, or performing arts categories. Applicants are eligible to submit in more than one discipline or category. The cost of each submission is $35.
