An initiative of Morgan Stanley Alliance, the Children’s Mental Health Innovation Awards identify and fund mental healthcare solutions for children and young adults across the United States. Selected organizations have opportunities to be awarded with a grant of up to $100,000. They will also receive six weeks of consultation and training from industry professionals, learn from peers and build powerful connections, and raise their profile and showcase their solutions on the final awards presentation day. The Alliance is looking for new or piloted projects from direct-service organizations that will help address the far-reaching challenge of stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues in children and young adults on a national or local level in the United States. The projects must tackle specific issues and address unmet needs, with the aim of reducing stigma, increasing access to care, improving equity in mental health, enabling early identification or prevention, and enhancing intervention, especially among disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. Applications are reviewed based on innovation, scope, impact, and potential.
Deadlines: Applications should be submitted by 5 p.m. (ET) on July 2, 2021. Finalists will be announced in early October 2021. The six-week program then commences, during which finalists learn from industry experts, enhance their proposals, and develop their pitches. The final awards presentation day will be November 11, 2021, at which time finalists will present their solutions to a broad audience, including other funders.
