LinkEngineering is an online community of educators interested in providing meaningful engineering experiences to preK–12 students of all abilities. The LinkEngineering website allows members to connect with one another and engineering education experts. The site provides examples of engineering in educational settings, as well as background information on engineering and engineering design. The site is the product of collaboration between the National Academy of Engineering and five partner organizations: International Technology and Engineering Educators Association, Council of State Science Supervisors, National Science Teachers Association, Achieve, and American Society of Engineering Education.
Plus: Of all the activities, lessons, and curricular programs that incorporate engineering into preK–12 education, which ones work, and how can teachers get started using them? LinkEngineering’s resources section helps to answer those questions. Educators can browse through activity and lesson reviews, get expert advice on methods, and see examples of what worked (and didn’t) in educational settings around the country.
