InventorSpace by SparkFun is a freeonline community where educators can find, create, and share electronics and computer science-based projects. InventorSpace Projects are standards-aligned and come with instructions and simple code. Teachers can assign projects and create assessment questions to measure learning throughout the project. A Project Gallery displays products created by educators and SparkFunEDU.
A free browser-based game called Factitious helps middle school and high school students distinguish between fake news and real journalism. Players indicate if they think an article is fake, or if they believe it is real.
In the summer of 2017, Open Up Resources released a problem-based core mathprogram for grades 6–8 to spark student engagement. The full OER-based curriculum is a result of a 21st Century Collaboration Model: the core materials were developed by recognized math education experts and then classroom tested and modified by 175 classroom teachers in six school districts.
