Competition Honoring Outstanding Student Artwork

Hosted by Artists Network, Artists Magazine’s Annual Art Competition is open to artists anywhere in the world who work with traditional, two-dimensional media. The competition has five categories: Portrait/Figure, Still Life/Interior, Landscape, Abstract/Experimental, and Animal/Wildlife. To be eligible for an award in the Student/Beginner Division, young artists aged 16 years and older must not have been enrolled in a post–high school art program for more than six years and may not have pursued art on their own or in workshops or lessons for more than six years. The competition has five categories: Portrait/Figure, Still Life/Interior, Landscape, Abstract/Experimental, and Animal/Wildlife. Entry fees range from US$15 to US$20. Five first-place, second-place, and third-place winners in the Student/Beginner Division will each receive a free subscription to Artists Network TV for one year ($199 value). In addition, first-place winners will have the opportunity to participate in two free on-demand art courses; second-place winners, one free on-demand course. The names and work of all award winners will be featured in the December 2019 issue of Artists Magazine.

Deadlines: April 2, 2019, for “early bird” registration; May 1, 2019, for regular registration. All deadlines are at 11:59 p.m. (ET), on the specified date.
