Ocean School (OS) is a free, state-of-the-art learning experience that provides the next generation of ocean citizens, innovators, and decision makers with the knowledge and tools to investigate and design innovative solutions for the accelerating challenges that face the world’s oceans. Designed for inquiry and collaboration, Ocean School lets students take the lead, ask questions, and build knowledge. OS guides the learner through immersive media using virtual reality, augmented reality, 360-degree cinema, and more to explore and foster a deep engagement with ocean science.
The Audubon Bird Guide is a free and complete field guide to more than 800 species of North American birds that fits right in a user’s pocket. Developed for all experience levels, it will help users identify the birds around them, keep track of the birds they’ve seen, and get outside to find new birds near them.
Designed by SEEKRTECH CO. for iOS and Android devices, the Forestapp encourages users to be productive by staying focused in their work and studies. Forest coaches users to “be present in their daily life,” whether they are teaching or learning in the classroom, studying in a library, engaging with friends, or involved in any other activities.
The Science Without Borders Challenge is an international art contest that engages students in promoting the need to preserve, protect, and restore the world’s oceans and aquatic resources. This annual contest inspires students to be creative while learning about important ocean science and conservation issues.
