The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the DEA Educational Foundation, and Discovery Education have launched the third annual Operation Prevention Video Challenge—a peer-to-peer platform for communicating messages about the dangers of opioid misuse. High school students should grab their camera, recruit their friends, and create a 30- to 60-second original public service announcement aimed to reach other teens about this widespread issue.
Each year the National Book Foundation’s Innovations in Reading Prize awards $10,000 to an individual or organization that has developed an innovative project that creates and sustains a lifelong love of reading in the community served.
