Interactive Demonstrations on Artificial Intelligence
MIT’s free online course titled “Artificial Intelligence” introduces participants to the basic knowledge representation, problem solving, and learning methods of artificial intelligence. The course includes interactive demonstrations designed to help participants gain intuition about how artificial intelligence methods work under a variety of circumstances. By the end of the course, participants should be able to develop intelligent systems by assembling solutions to concrete computational problems; understand the role of knowledge representation, problem solving, and learning in intelligent-system engineering; and appreciate the role of problem solving, vision, and language in understanding human intelligence from a computational perspective. Through an augmented reality experience, children can watch their own Very Hungry Caterpillar appear in their classroom, on a kitchen table, in a garden, on their playground, or anywhere else they want to play with it.
Movers & Shakers NYC has created the free mobile app Kinfolk that transports students to an augmented reality (AR) space where they can walk up to virtual “monuments” of 10 famous Black historical figures and learn their stories.
The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum provides unique fieldtrip opportunities for teachers and students to engage with the museum’s content online.
