Teachers of English learners can add a spark to their instruction with a new group of celebrities called “YouTubers”—videographers who have gained popularity from their videos for English learners on the video-sharing website YouTube. These YouTubers consistently produce high-quality, engaging videos for ESL and EFL learners.
YouTuber Christina has made around 200 clever videos introducing students to American English. Her videos not only cover grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation; they also tackle learning strategies, American culture, business English, and small talk. She began producing videos in 2015 and now has more than 300,000 subscribers.
In these videos, YouTuber Tom introduces English learners to the differences between British English and American English. His well-produced videos are entertaining and cover numerous areas of English, such as vocabulary, pronunciation, slang, common errors in English, and useful expressions.
