Study of the theory, experimentation, and engineering that form the basis for the design and use of computers; creative and innovative processes of assigning a code for purposes of classification and identification; processes that lead from an original formulation of a computing problem to usable computer programs.
A Microsoftproject will teach blind students from aged 7 to 11 how to program and apply design thinking to projects. Project Torino, as it’s called, uses a “physical programming language”—pods that are connected by the students to build programs.
Formed in 2014, Latina Girls Code (LGC) was created to fill the diversity gap between girls aged 7–17 who are interested in technology. The program provides mentors, access to hardware and digital tools, as well as internships through various programs and events throughout the year.
