Grants for Community-based Primary Source Archives

Since 2013 the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s Scholarly Communications program has been making a series of grants to help diversify the body of primary source evidence available to, for example, activists, artists, researchers in humanities fields, community historians, genealogists, teachers, and students. These grants are designed to support and strengthen a body of archival practice called community-based archiving.

Grants for Fostering Global Perspectives

The Longview Foundation funds projects that directly support fostering global perspectives in K–12 teachers and students. The Internationalizing Teacher Preparation program focuses on preparing future teachers, implementing promising practices for internationalizing the education of all preservice teachers, and increasing the number of world language teachers, especially in less commonly taught languages.
