YoungArts, the NationalYoungArts Foundation’s signature program, is an application-based award for emerging artists, aged 15–18 or in grades 10–12, from across the United States.
Little Kids Rock partners with public school districts in some of the nation’s most economically disadvantaged communities with the goal of ensuring that all K–12 students have access to music education and its many benefits.
Sponsored by The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Department of VSA and Accessibility, the VSA International Young Soloists Competition is open to young musicians with disabilities, aged 14–25. Applicants can apply as an instrumental or vocal soloist, or as ensembles (including bands) of two to five members.
VSA Playwright Discovery Program, sponsored by The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Department of VSA and Accessibility, invites young writers with disabilities and collaborative groups that include students with disabilities in grades 6–12 to explore the disability experience through the art of writing for performance: plays, screenplays, spoken word poetry (for single performer or a group), or music theater.
