In honor of Dorothy Stout, the first female president of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT), and her outstanding work and lifelong dedication to earth science education, NAGT awards professional development grants to K–12 teachers to support participation in earth science classes or workshops and field trips, attendance at professional scientific or science education meetings, and purchase of classroom materials.
