WhatWasThere.com allows students of all ages to take a walk down memory lane as they pore over photos of the past. Created in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by Enlighten Ventures, WhatWasThere lets users upload photos and place them at addresses found on Google Maps.
iNaturalist.org is a place where students around the world can record what they see in nature, meet other nature lovers, and learn about the natural world. It is like a living record of life on Earth that scientists and land managers can use to monitor changes in biodiversity, and that anyone else can use to learn more about nature.
Today’s teens may not yet be able to vote, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have something to say about the election. Letters to the Next President 2.0 (L2P 2.0) supports and amplifies that youth voice, giving students, aged 13–18, an opportunity to speak out on the issues that matter to them, as well as helping the next generation of citizens develop discourse and argumentation skills crucial to their participation in civic life.
